Mammy and Me

Mammy and Me

Myself and herself could sit there all day,
we'd laugh and we'd chat and drink some amount of tae,
The others complain, 'you're the same as your mother'.
I shrug and I smile, I don't care cos I love her.

To write a book on her life it would be a best seller,
Through her trials and her triumphs, I'm sure you'd read nothing better.
She's told me things, she hasn't even told daddy!
That she trusts me so much, makes me incredibly happy.

If ever a day comes and she isn't there,
I'll smile and look back at the times that we shared,
Some say they've great mothers, and that may be true.
But mine is the best between me and you.
